Villetta Pallavicini
On July 26, 1669, Prince Giovan Battista Rospigliosi purchased from the Ludovisi the Castle of Gallicano, the castle of Colonna and the state of Zagarolo. The following year, by marrying Maria Camilla, niece of Cardinal Lazzaro Pallavicini, he inherited his titles, crest and name.
On March 29, 1729, Niccolò Pallavicini bought from the mother of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, for 1500 scudi, a vineyard with small house in the area of Gallicano, San Pastore District: the so-called VILLETTA, which sits today on lovely grounds.

A cypress-lined way leads to a small 19th century church dedicated to San Francesco. All around are broad, open spaces, surrounded by gazebos, like a green living room, a cooling pool that in the evening becomes a place for relaxation.
The Villetta is a prestigious and most unique place for social events of all types.
The complex, located in the municipality of Gallicano, is better known as La Villetta Pallavicini and, as described below, has wonderfully pleasant outdoor areas immersed in the greenery.
La Villetta can be easily reached by Via Prenestina.
